RBL Terms & Conditions

League Fee Payment

Payment is to be made at the same time as registration for the amount of £200per team. All payments are non-refundable. Please note your league fee payment is not a yearly payment. It will cover the league of 2021 (April 2021-July 2021).

Your Responsibilities 

You are responsible for ensuring that your team is following all COVID and other health and safety procedures whilst at the RBL venue. 
Please ensure your players are properly dressed for each game

You will need to have up to date contact information for ALL your players. 

Team and Players

Eligibility: 
  • U12:  Players born after 1/9/2008
  • U14: Players born after 1/9/2006
  • U16: Players born after 1/9/2004
  • U18: Players born after 1/9/2002

Game day: All players must bring a bottle of water. All player and staff will need to go through the COVID screening process (if required at the time). A maximum of 12 players per game plus two staff members. All players and staff are expected to behave with respect to all other players, officiates, coaches and staff. 

To play for a team in the semi finals/finals, a player must have played a minimum of 2 games in the regular season for the team he/she wishes to represent, unless agreed upon by both coaches.

At least one member of the coaching staff arriving with the team needs to hold a valid DBS certificate. 

League Rules
  • U12 & U14 teams will play games with an 8 minute running clock, 4 quarters
  • U16 & U18 teams will play games with a 10 minute running clock, 4 quarters
  • Clock will run during timeouts, free throws and all other ‘in game’ instances.
  • Each team will be permitted a maximum of 1 timeout per half, for a maximum of 1 minute.  In the event of any overtime, an additional timeout of 30 seconds will be available to each team.
  • Teams must arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled game time and be ready to start their game on time, appropriately dressed. Any delays may be deducted from the game time
  • Any delays must be communicated via email or phone
  • No zone defense is allowed in the U12 & U14 games.
  • All referees decisions are final.  
  • Regular season: The top 4 teams (with the most wins) from the regular season will go through to semi finals. In the event of any teams having a tied number of wins, it will be based on points for the whole of the regular season.
  • Semi finals: 1st place team will play 4th place team, 2nd place team will play 3rd place team. Best out of 3. Winner moves to the finals. 
  • Teams must wear matching kit
  • There will be a 7 minute warm up time

Privacy Policy, Photography and Videos

This privacy policy sets out how RBL uses and protects any information that you give us when you use the RDF website or take part in the league.

RBL is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected, you can be assured that we will only use your details in accordance with this privacy statement.

We may change this policy from time to time, we will notify if we do so.

What we collect (this is applicable to you and your team)
We may collect the following information:

  • Names
  • contact information including email address
  • demographic information such as postcode
  • other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers

What we do with the information we gather  (this is applicable to you and your team)

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
  • Internal record keeping.
  • Contractual purposes
  • Carrying out risk assessments
  • Responding to any communication from you
  • Maintaining league attendance
  • We may use the information to improve our products and services.
  • We may periodically send promotional emails about new activities, special offers, events or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.

Photography and filming
During games we will undertake filming and photography for coaching purposes and/or to promote the RBL on our website, social media account and in communications. All film and photos of children will only be published in line with our safeguarding policy. If you wish to object to this please email us rbl@rightdevelopmentfoundation.com.

By registering and participating in the league all teams confirm that they have sought and confirmed the permission of all players and coaches (and parents/guardians, where relevant in the case of participating children) to be photographed or filmed during RBL events for advertising, promotional or any other commercial purposes.

How long we keep your information
We will keep you contact details on our database as long as you like. If at any point you no longer want to be on our database and wish to stop receiving communication from us simply click unsubscribe at the bottom of any of our emails or email rbl@rightdevelopmentfoundation.com

Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

We currently use MailChimp and Jotform to store data.

How we use cookies
